Birth announcement

Bayete Zulu Lodge is proud to announce the birth of a baby boy to parents Rambo and Rachael. The baby weighed in at around 150 kg and both mother and son are doing well. As you have probably guessed at 150 kg this baby can only be an African Bush Elephant or Loxodonto Africana to be technical. This wonderful group of elephants form part of the ‘Elephant Interaction’ experience at the lodge where you can wander up to the elephants and touch and feed them. Truly an experience not to be missed.

Name the baby competition

With all the excitement surrounding the birth of this beautiful elephant, the Lodge decided to run a competition to name the baby. If your elephant name is chosen you stand a chance of winning a weekend for 2 people at Bayete Zulu Lodge with dinner, bed and breakfast included and a chance to meet the elephants
